Seek the Good

The time in history matters not when you happen to be reading this.

You can look back. You can look on today. You can look to the future. Something bad is ALWAYS happening.

We are a world filled with imperfect people and while I believe most of us are trying to improve by being more loving, more compassionate, more understanding, and more kind, there are those who are racing directly in the opposite direction.

As I write this, a horrible shooting occurred recently in broad daylight, where the speaker was targeted in a space packed with people to hear him. It was a violent tragedy that was completely unnecessary and unwarranted. And these types of things are happening all over the world, all the time.

My plea is this; seek the good. Even when evil is happening around you, seek the good. Even if there is something within your control to help put a stop to the hate, seek the good. Cry for the inhumane acts of violence and then, seek the good.

Just like the ripples of bad can be felt by others, so can the ripples of good. Seek the good. Seek to do good. Seek to be good. Seek to help others see the good. Do what you can within your circle of influence. Let’s send as many ripples of good out into the world as we possibly can.

It will help the collective good of humanity.
